Our client is an automotive parts dealer seeking to consolidate its position in the Kenyan market and establish competitive advantage in its line of business. In addition to parts, the firm has distributorship of Loctite and Teroson motor vehicle adhesives and sealants.
The firm has presence in Nairobi and Mombasa and seeks to exploit the full potential of these markets through acquiring new customers and servicing existing ones.
In this regard, the firm is looking to grow its team of suitably qualified and experienced people to deliver on key performance objectives/targets in order to drive the firm towards achieving its short term and long term goals.
The incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing the sales strategy, ensuring the Loctite and Teroson adhesives and sealants reach and cover the Nairobi market in a timely and efficient manner, service existing clients and acquire new ones.

Duties and responsibilities
- Selling Loctite and Teroson adhesives and sealants
- Mapping the Nairobi market
- Developing and implementing an effective route to market strategy
- Maintaining and updating a database of existing and potential clients
- Ensuring existing clients have Loctite and Teroson stocks at all times
- Serving customers in a timely, efficient and courteous manner
- Taking customer orders and delivering products in a timely manner
- Developing sales proposals
- Identifying sales opportunities and setting up initial sales meetings
- Meeting clients and making presentations on Loctite and Teroson adhesives and sealants
- Following through and closing sales
- Determining clients’ requirements and advising them on appropriate products
- Answering any technical questions about the products
- Writing sales reports

- Sales experience in Nairobi will be an added advantage
- Working knowledge of MS Office
