Position: Shop Sales Representative - Nairobi

Our client is an automotive parts dealer seeking to consolidate its position in the Kenyan market and establish competitive advantage in its line of business. In addition to parts, the firm has distributorship of Loctite and Teroson motor vehicle adhesives and sealants.
The firm has presence in Nairobi and Mombasa and seeks to exploit the full potential of these markets through acquiring new customers and servicing existing ones.
In this regard, the firm is looking to grow its team of suitably qualified and experienced people to deliver on key performance objectives/targets in order to drive the firm towards achieving its short term and long term goals.
The incumbent will be responsible for implementing the sales strategy for motor vehicle spares, Loctite and Teroson adhesives and sealants, ensuring that optimal stock levels are available in the shop at all times, serve customers in a timely, efficient and courteous manner, service existing clients and acquire new ones.

Duties and responsibilities
- Selling motor vehicle spares, Loctite and Teroson adhesives and sealants
- Ensuring that the shop maintains optimal stock levels at all times
- Ensuring existing clients have Loctite and Teroson stocks at all times
- Serving customers in a timely, efficient and courteous manner
- Maintaining and updating a database of existing and potential clients
- Identifying sales opportunities
- Following through and closing sales
- Determining clients’ requirements and advising them on appropriate products
- Answering any technical questions about the products
- Writing sales reports

Qualification Requirements and Work Experience
- Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Physical Sciences/Sales
- Excellent knowledge of motor vehicle parts
- A thorough understanding of physical and chemical properties of materials, adhesives and sealants
- Sales experience in the automotive industry
- Sales experience in Nairobi will be an added advantage
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Preferably a lady
