NCIC Jobs in Kenya


The National Cohesion and Integration Commission invites applications from qualified persons for the following positions:

1. Senior Communications and Media Relations Officer (Grade: NCIC 4)

Reporting to: Assistant Director Civic Education

Specific Duties Entail:
  • Conceptualizing, designing and implementing internal and external communication strategies and media based advocacy strategies, that advance the NCIC’s strategic objectives.
  • Acting as a media liaison and coordinating media monitoring and feedback.
  • Ensuring positive visibility of the NCIC through branding and other strategies.
  • Writing opinion pieces, and press statements.
  • Photography and video documentation
  • Coordinating the publication of the NCIC Internal E-newsletter.
  • Annual Report and key IEC materials
  • Providing communications supports to all staff and commissioners
  • Archiving of information (electronic and hard copies)
  • Any other assigned responsibilities
Requirements for Appointment:
  • Masters degree in Journalism / Mass Communications or related field.
  • Served satisfactorily in the area of Corporate Communications, Media, Public Relations, Marketing or any other relevant field for at least five (5) years two of which should have been at a senior level.
  • Posses effective oral and written communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
2. Senior Human Resource Management Officer (Grade NCIC 4)

Reporting to the Assistant Director Finance and Administration

a) Duties and Responsibilities
  • Establishment of Human Resource Information System
  • Salary administration
  • Performance targeting
  • Staff training
b) Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-
  • Served satisfactorily in the grade of Human Resource Management Officer or in a comparable and relevant position for at least five (5) years.
  • A Masters Degree in Human Resource Management/Development, Public Relations/Business Administration / Public Administration or any other relevant qualification.
  • Have good oral and written communication skills.
3. Accountant (Grade NCIC 5)

Reporting to Assistant Director Finance and Administration

(a) Duties and Responsibilities
  • Preparation of financial accounts and statements
  • Implementation of financial controls and procedures
(b) Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-
  • Served satisfactorily in the grade of Accountant II or Auditor II or comparable and relevant position in the public sector for at least three.
  • Be in possession of B.Com (Accounting option), Business Administration or any other equivalent qualification and CPA II or its and relevant qualification.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and practices as reflected in work performance and results.
4. Supply Chain Management Assistant (NCIC Grade 6)

(a) Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in tendering processes.
  • Help in market survey for latest market price trend.
  • Coordinate receiving and inspection of goods and services.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Senior Supply Chain Management Officer.
(b) Requirements for Appointment
  • Higher Diploma or Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management CIPS Level 4 or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
  • Be conversant with Public Procurement Act and Regulations.
  • Two years post qualification continuous experience.
