Profile Introduction
 
Our Client, a leading Insurance company in the region, seeks to recruit a Group Risk and Compliance Officer responsible for the leadership and direction of the Group wide coordination and application of risk management.
 
The person will be reporting to Group Managing Director.
 
Minimum Requirements
  • 2-3 years experience in internal audit preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Bachelors Degree in a related field.
  • Professional Qualifications / certifications in CISA and / or CIA
Job Specification
  • To ensure that the principles and requirements of managing risk are consistently adopted throughout the Group, and to establish a risk management framework and appropriate resource to assist the Group in its realization of business objectives and continual development
  • Direct engagement projects to see that professional standards are maintained in the planning and execution and in the accumulation of information.
  • Counsel and guide staff to see that the approved engagement objectives are met and that adequate, practical coverage is achieved.
  • Edit engagement communications and discuss the communications with appropriate management.
  • Present oral briefing to branch-level management
  • Provide for and perform research on engagement techniques
  • Accumulate data, maintain records and prepare reports on the administration of engagement projects and other assigned activities
  • Identify factors causing deficient conditions and recommend courses of action to improve the conditions, including special surveys and audits.
  • Provide for a flow of communication from operating management to the manager and to the Group Head of Audit. Assist in evaluating overall results of the engagements.
  • Direct the activities of assistant.
