Business Development Manager - Knowledge Transfer Centre

Reporting to the Sales Director, the incumbent will create and ensure successful closure of training opportunities for the Knowledge Transfer Centre-(KTC).

Business Development Manager - Knowledge Transfer Centre

Reporting to the Sales Director, the incumbent will create and ensure successful closure of training opportunities for the Knowledge Transfer Centre-(KTC).
Key responsibilities
- Prepare sales strategies and business plans for the training market;
- Implement sales strategies to achieve KTC goals, objectives and targets;
- Develop and maintain a solid funnel of training opportunities;
- Provide timely, accurate and competitive pricing on training packages to ensure profitability;
- Prepare, review and present proposals for training contracts;
- Liaise with the Marketing department to ensure regular distribution of client publications and updates of course materials; and
- Coordinate training requirements, negotiate contracts and integrate the requirements with KTC operations.
Skills & Competencies
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales or related field;
- Understanding of IT products available in the region (Cisco, Juniper, Oracle, Sun and others) a mandatory requirement;
- At least 8 (eight) years experience, with 3 (three) at senior level; and
- A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
You must demonstrate a track record of closing training deals, and you should possess strategic planning, budgeting, verbal and written communication skills.
You must also demonstrate ability to work in a highly driven environment, be results oriented and an innovative thinker.
