County Government Jobs: County Executive Committee Members, County
Public Service Board Chairperson, Members and Secretary: Nyandarua County is one of the 47 counties established under
article 176 of the Constitution and the First Schedule to the Constitution of
Kenya 2010.
Article 235 of the Constitution provides for the staffing of
County Governments and Section 57 of the County Governments Act No.17 of 2012
establishes County Public Service Board.
1.County Public Service Board:
Chairperson of the County Public Service Board (1 post)
Qualifications and Requirements
For appointment to this position the candidate must:
- Be a Kenyan citizen
- Be a holder of a first degree from a University recognized in Kenya (A master’s will be an added advantage).
- Satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the constitution of Kenya 2010 on leadership and integrity.
- Have knowledge and a working experience of not less than ten years in Administration and Management.
- Be a professional who demonstrates absence of breach of the relevant professional code of conduct.
- Understand and diversity within the County.
- Be capable to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Be a visionary and strategic thinker.
- Be committed to be part of a team that will enable the County government achieve her vision.
Members of the County Public Service Board (5 Posts)
Qualifications and requirements
For appointment to this position the candidate must:
- Be Kenyan citizen
- Be a holder of a first degree from a University recognized in Kenya ( A master’s degree will be added advantage )
- Satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the constitution of Kenya 2010 on leadership and integrity.

The ten (10) posts will be one for each of the following
portfolios.
- Administration, Development and community Participation
- Finance and Planning
- Education
- Agriculture
- Health Services
- Livestock Development
- Environment, natural resources, Tourism and wildlife.
- Culture, youth, gender and Social services.
- Water and Irrigation.
- Public Works, ICT, Energy, trade and Industry.
Secretary of the County Public Service Board (1 Post )
Qualifications and requirements.
For appointments to this position the candidate must:
- Be a Kenyan citizen.
- Be a holder of a first degree from a university recognized in Kenya ( A master’s degree will be added advantage)
- Satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on leadership and integrity.
- Have knowledge and a working experience of not less than five years.
