CESVI East Africa Regional Office

Summary: Cesvi is an Italian international NGO working in Kenya since 2004. 


Cesvi is currently looking for qualified, hardworking and experienced individuals to fill the following positions. 


Position: Assistant Finance Officer 

Ref. No: AFO/13/02 
Salary Range: KES.50,000 – 83,330 gross per month 
Reports to: Regional Administrator 

Requirements/ desirable qualities:

  • Minimum qualification – Degree in Accounting/ Finance with at least CPA 1
  • At least 3 years full-time experience gained in a finance administrative role including working with computerized accounting systems and the preparation of financial reports.
  • Must demonstrate excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Practical knowledge of internal control, checking, budgeting and computerized purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Significant expertise in the use of the standard IT packages including MS Office, Excel and email (preferably MS Outlook).
  • Ability to undertake work/tasks, alone or as part of a team, involving a high degree of attention of detail and confidentiality, working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Position: HR - Administrative Officer 

Ref. No: ADO/13/02 
Salary Range: KES.50,000 – 83,330 gross per month 
Reports to: Regional Administrator 

Requirements/ desirable qualities:
  • Minimum qualification – Diploma in Secretarial Studies
  • At least 3 years experience in relevant field preferably with a humanitarian aid organization. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and a working knowledge of the internet and email.
  • Flexibility, quick decision making.
  • Ready to work with minimal supervision with ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ready to work for long hours.
  • Team player, excellent interpersonal, organizational, multitasking and communication skills.
Position: Logistic & Procurement Officer 

Ref. No: LOG/13/02 
Salary Range: KES.50,000 – 70,000 gross per month 
Reports to: Regional Administrator 

Requirements/ desirable qualities:
  • Qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, or other areas related technically to Humanitarian Logistics or relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience with an INGO
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience in Nairobi
  • Experience in logistics management, policies and procedures
  • Proven ability to work creatively and independently
  • Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English
  • High level of familiarity with computer word-processing, spreadsheet and database packages
  • Ability to drive with a valid driving license.
Position: Cashier

Ref. No: CSH/13/02 
Salary Range: KES.40,000 – 60,000 gross per month 
Reports to: Regional Administrator 

Requirements/ desirable qualities:
  • Minimum qualification – Diploma in Accounting or CPA Part 1. Minimum Qualifications in Book Keeping with supporting project experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in project work as a Cashier.
  • International NGO experience is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of Donor Funds Management and reporting.
  • Must have good computer skills in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel.
  • Ability to work under high pressure to meet tight deadlines
Position: Receptionist/ Secretary 

Ref. No: SEC/13/02 
Salary Range: KES.25,000 – 30,000 gross per month 
Reports to: Regional Administrator 

Requirements/ desirable qualities:
  • Certificate in Front Office Operations or Secretarial Studies
  • Minimum two years office administrative support experience is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to excel at details, multi-tasking and working under pressure.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English required.
  • A good command of financial and other computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Access, as well as a working knowledge of the internet and email.
Desirable competencies for all positions
  • Candidates with multitasking abilities and ability to work in stressful situation will get preference. Computer related skills (Excel, Word, and internet) is desired. Good knowledge of English language both oral and written.
  • Commitment to humanitarian principles and action.
