Position: Business Head - Sales and Marketing

Our client, an International manufacturer of cutting edge fine melamine Homeware and high quality Travelware is seeking to recruit a Business Head to be based in Nairobi.
The successful candidate should have managed a sales team for at least 4 years, and have the capability to engage effectively with the key retail outlets for increased product market share as well as motivate sales teams to deliver sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify new business while continuing to develop greater levels of business with existing clients through on-going value addition programs and relationship management.
- Achieve sales and margin targets through effective management/ engagement of both the sales teams and distributors as well as establishing new distribution channels.
- Help strengthen excellent reputation for service and quality within the targeted market sector.
- Effective marketing and brand positioning of company.
- Set annual targets, conducting team performance appraisal/ competency assessment and development planning
- Support management in the development of long range and annual plans
- Guide management in maximizing business opportunities to position company products as market leaders in the East African region.
- Collate sales activities and prepare sales reports as per company policy
Qualifications/ Skills
- Degree in Sales and Marketing or related field.
- Minimum 8 to 10 years direct sales experience to retail sector
- Outstanding communication/ people management and strong selling skills
- Distributor sales management experience as well as strategic insight.
- Strong customer management skills/ value addition strategies and financial acumen
- Ability to manage new business operations
