MEDS Training Officer Job in Kenya

Our client, Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) is a registered trust of the ecumenical partnership of the Kenya Episcopal Conference (KEC) and the Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK). 
This faith-based drug supply organization has close to 27 years of service having been started in 1986 to improve access to quality healthcare.

MEDS has set on an ambitious strategic transformation path to restructure and offer better service to the Kenya health community. In an effort to achieve its strategic plan, it is now seeking to identify and bring on board well-qualified, experienced and high-performing talent to participate in this exciting journey.

The organization is recruiting for the following position to support delivery of strategic goals. 
 
Training Officer
Ref: HCSS/TO-04

Reporting to the Training Manager, the Training Officer will be responsible for building capacity of the health workers at MEDS.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Identifying training needs for curriculum development
  • Participating in the annual training program preparation for planning
  • Participating in identification of facilitators for training facilitation
  • Preparing the training timetables for the specific trainings
  • Coordinate or conduct the actual trainings for customer satisfaction
  • Prepare reports after each training for reference and decision making
Required Qualifications
  • Diploma in Pharmacy
  • 3 years working experience in a similar position
  • Interpersonal communication skills and a team player
  • Possess high levels of integrity
  • Be a person of pleasant personality
  • Have the ability to carry out training
  • Marketing and Negotiation skills
  • Have good communication and customer service skills
  • Have Report writing skills
  • Have the ability to drive and possess a clean driving license
Employment is on a 3 year renewable contract and a competitive package will be negotiated with the right candidate.
