Commercial & Business Development Manager

This is a Senior Executive position within an ISO 9001 : 2008 Company that specialises in Security and Strategic Risk Management, enabling clients to operate safely and efficiently in hostile environments.
Roles and Responsibilities
The primary role function will be to drive growth within the Company, develop new services and
expand the client base with the key functions of managing clients and the generation of incremental core business, as well as manage the entire commercial aspects of the company.
Key tasks to include:
- Directing the sales team and developing sales strategies
- Identifying potential clients and personally making approaches at board and senior management level.
- Preparing board papers, drafting and editing proposals.
- Project planning, costing and implementation through start up to hand over.
- Maintain direct liaison with consultants and customers
- Ensure that company standards are maintained and executed to the highest degree by the Client Relationship Managers
In addition they must show an in-depth knowledge of the Kenyan commercial environment and hold an extensive client and business contact database.
Exemplary proposal, report writing, presentation and IT skills are mandatory for this position along with sound commercial judgment and outstanding written and spoken English.
