public donors.
AGRA works with African
governments, NGOs, the private sector and African farmers to
significantly and sustainably improve the productivity and incomes of
resource poor farmers in Africa.

AGRA is seeking to recruit an experienced and exceptional individual to fill the position of M&E Program Officer.
AGRA is seeking to recruit an experienced and exceptional individual to fill the position of M&E Program Officer.
This position is
internationally recruited and will be based in Nairobi, Kenya, on a
3-year fixed-term contract and will report to the M&E Director.
The role will require
frequent travel to the three USAID program target countries (Kenya,
Malawi and Zambia), and any other African country that AGRA operates
programs.
The position holder will also work on other USAID projects as they become available.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the USAID and other AGRA program teams in the three countries to develop and implement M&E plans for AGRA USAID programs;
- Working with the program teams to set procedures and to ensure data quality through the Quarterly Indicator Performance Tracking Tables in accordance with the M&E plan and Project Management Plans (PMP);
- Proposing and developing program evaluation designs and coordinating the implementation of surveys, special studies, and research as needed for the programs;
- Ensuring that quarterly and annual progress reports are submitted to the three USAID missions and also to USAID Washington on time;and
- Supporting the M&E team to establish professional linkages with development partners, institutions and resource centres.
Key Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
- Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree in development economics or social sciences;
- Minimum of ten years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation of development assistance in Africa;
- Knowledge, skills and experience in USAID regulations and key M&E standard tools such as PMP, Performance benchmarking measures, indicators and reports with strong econometric and statistical analysis skills; and
- Fluent in French and English.
An attractive
remuneration package commensurate with the position’s responsibilities
