Concern Worldwide Job in Nairobi Kenya- Monitoring & Evaluation Advisor

Concern Worldwide is a non-governmental, international humanitarian organization dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countries.
 
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Kenyan nationals for the following position:

Monitoring & Evaluation Advisor
Part Time Contract
 
Location: Based in Nairobi with travel to field locations
 
Duration: Part-time contract spread over 1 year
 
Job summary:
 
To build the capacity of both staff and partners in monitoring and evaluation of programmes to ensure that systematic and effective monitoring occurs; to develop an integrated monitoring system for Concern’s Programme and partners that facilitates effective and efficient monitoring of project implementation and impact; to increase M&E capacity of programme team, who benefit from M&E plans and tools, with allocated time and resources, ensuring reflection and learning takes place.
 
Summary of Essential Qualifications:
  • MSc in Public Health, with experience of nutrition and health system strengthening, at least 3 years’ experience in Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition programming in both a development and emergency context
  • Previous employment or extensive collaboration and networking with NGOs, UN and government agencies.
  • Two years’ experience in a management position.
  • Technical knowledge and experience in health system strengthening, maternal and child health and nutrition, community based health care.
  • Proven success partnering with the Ministry of Health.
  • Good understanding of cross cutting issues- gender, HIV and AIDS, DRR, etc. and how to integrate them into public health/ nutrition programmes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in teams.
  • Excellent networking and coordination skills – NGOs, UN and government agencies.
